WHAT IS STIG?
The origin of the Sussex Transport Interest Group goes back to April 1983 when a meeting was held at London Road Station, Brighton by a group of transport enthusiasts following the demise of the Brighton Transport Museum Project. Since then the group has grown from strength to strength. Membership now totals around 40. Apart from our regular regular meetings at London Road Station, on the third Wednesday evening of each month, we endeavour to arrange visits to places of transport interest, including summer mystery bus tours with others.
A newsletter is issued free to all members that gives details of the current programme, together with a round up of Sussex Transport news and events, in addition to UK and worldwide items submitted by the the membership.
Visitors & new members are most welcome. For meetings at London Road Station, an admnission charge of 2.50 is made for visitors which includes light refreshments.
