In with the new & out with the old!105 viewsA well know view of the Brighton Tram 74 & Trolleybus FUF5 of Brighton Corporation Transport, taken in 1939 shows the forthcoming 'out with the old & in with the new' modes of public transport then operated by the council of the times. Push Once!115 viewsPush the button, or Pull the cord, just the once & the bus stoped at the next place to alight. Conductors, when we had them, rang twice to get the driver, as they were in the noisy cab away from the passengers, notice to move on, and a repeated bell was a cry for help!
